Workshop Day 3: Low Carbon Mobility (transit, electrification, cycling, walking, commercial vehicles etc.

Public open-house where community can address City Council on their views, considerations, ideas, concerns, or perspectives related to climate action for new buildings and land-use, in particular, commentary on the following key issues:

  • Rapid expansion and transition of all types of electric vehicles – passenger cars, bicycles, car share services, commercial fleets
  • Increasing mode share to public transportation, walking and cycling
  • Education, awareness, incentives and behaviour change programs
  • Encouraging other forms of low-carbon mobility through emerging technologies

MOTION TO CLOSE THE JUNE 21, 2019, CLOSED SPECIAL COMMITTE OF THE WHOLE MEETING TO THE PUBLIC

That Council convene a closed meeting that excludes the public under Section 90 of the Community Charter for the reason that the following agenda items deal with matters specified in Sections 90(1) and/or (2) of the Community Charter, namely:

Section 90(1) A part of a council meeting may be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered relates to or is one or more of the following:

Section 90(1)(i) the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.
