  • Adoption of:
    • Trutch Street Renaming Bylaw, No. 22-053

 

The purpose of this Bylaw is to change the name of Trutch Street to Su’it Street, which is the Lekwungen translation for the word “truth”.

  • Adoption of:
    • Demolition Waste and Deconstruction Bylaw, No. 22-062

 

The purposes of this Bylaw are to regulate, prohibit, and impose requirements to ensure that waste and reusable materials resulting from demolition work are managed in a manner that enhances and protects the well-being of the community and to ensure the efficient use of waste disposal and recycling services.

MOTION TO CLOSE THE JUNE 23, 2022 COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC


That Council convene a closed meeting that excludes the public under Section 90 of the Community Charter for the reason that the following agenda items deal with matters specified in Sections 90(1) and/or (2) of the Community Charter, namely:


Section 90(1) A part of a council meeting may be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered relates to or is one or more of the following:


Section 90(1)(c) labour relations or other employee relations;

Section 90(1)(e) the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;

Section 90(1)(n) the consideration of whether a council meeting should be closed under a provision of this subsection or subsection (2);
