Addendum: Presentation


A report regarding a rezoning application for the property located at 2501-2699 Blanshard Street, 825/841 Hillside Avenue, 2500-2684 Dowler Place and 900 Kings Road in order to to rezone from the R3-2 Zone, Multiple Dwelling District to a new comprehensive development zone to increase the density at this location and recommending that the application proceed to bylaw readings.

A report regarding the allocation of up to $100,000 from the Major Community Initiatives and Events Grant (MCIEG) program to the 2025 Canada Day Celebrations.

Addendum: Updated Report


A report responding to Council’s request regarding potential procurement policy adjustments and moving to other social media platforms in reaction to recently imposed U.S. tariffs.

A Council Member Motion requesting that Council authorize the attendance and associated costs for Councillor Caradonna to attend the 2025 FCM Conference in Ottawa.

A Council Member Motion seeking approval to host the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities (AVICC) AGM and Convention, April 24-26, 2026 at the Victoria Conference Centre.

A Council Member Motion proposing an increase in fees for cash-in-lieu that would seek to incentivize developers to replace more trees and conversely, to disincentivize expedient tree removal.

A Council Member Motion requesting to continue construction of the Doric Connector extending from Washington Avenue to Balfour Avenue, creating a safer dedicated pedestrian path, which will also promote community cohesion in the neighbourhood.

A Council Member Motion proposing that any new expenditure be balanced with a commensurate reduction to existing programs and that tax shifts among taxpayers be minimized.
